On 12/11/12 my life changed forever when I underwent brain surgery. As part of my recovery I began doing something that I never thought I would do.....RUNNING. It started as a few miles here and there and then it became a bigger and bigger part of who I am. In the last 5 years I have run 13 half marathons and in 2016 I ran the NYC Marathon.
On 7/24/17 I underwent brain surgery #2 and needed a new goal. So what do I do for an encore.....start training a Half Ironman of course!
On August 26th I will swim, bike and run 70.3 miles through Maine, not only for me and my health, but to raise money for the Jack Martin Fund, a charity that is very close to my heart.
The Jack Martin Fund supports pediatric oncology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.
