We are the U17 Brampton Blazers '08 - Niro Team, a passionate group of young softball players, who in 2023 began their “WHY NOT US” mission to earn a berth at the 2024 Canadian Championships in Calgary, Alberta!
Our team - these softball sisters as they call themselves - have worked tirelessly on and off-field, dedicating countless hours to the gym, to practice and games, showing a relentless desire and determination to get 1% better everyday as softballers, teammates and humans! On June 30th, their dream to compete in the Canadian Championship was realized and we now have a chance to represent the Brampton Girls Softball Association, the larger Brampton community and the Province of Ontario on the national stage, but we need your support to get there!
Our Journey: This season has been an incredible journey of growth and achievement for the U17 Brampton Blazers 08 - Niro team. We’ve faced adversity, tough competitors and have emerged stronger with every game. Our dedication to the sport, trust in the process and in each other has brought us to this amazing opportunity—the Canadian Championship.
Why We Need Your Help: Participating in the Canadian Championship requires substantial financial support. Your generous donations will help cover the costs of:
- Travel costs and expenses to and from the championship venue
- Accommodation for the team
- Equipment transportation costs
- Meals and other necessities during the competition
