Branden's Cancer Medical Fund

My son has Chronic Myloid Leukemia.

My youngest son, Branden Hancock, is 23 years old and was diagnosed last year with Chronic Myloid Leukemia.  He has moved to the state of Washington to live with his brother, Christopher.
Christopher was a Marine machinegunner with 3/5 Marines and is a combat veteran who served in Afghanistan.  He is using his GI Bill to attend college in Washington.  Christopher is a bone marrow match for Branden so that is why they are living together up there (his family lives in Texas).
Branden left behind a good job and since moving up there has only been able to work part time jobs here and there as a waiter.  Before his disease, he used to build electric motors and work on cooling towers for a company in Texas.  He travelled to job sites all over the USA and was making good money.
He has medical insurance but he goes through chemotherapy constantly and he is often sick from the chemo.  He has lost almost 30 lbs in the last 4 months.  As you can see in the photo, he used to be 220 lbs of muscle before the illness.
The co-pays for his doctor appointments and chemo treatment take up a lot of their money because with Christopher in college and trying to support both he and Branden on a part time job, there are times that the bills take up all of their money.  Christopher would sacrifice everything for his little brother but being able to graduate college with his Bachelors degree will make it a lot easier for him to support them financially in the future.
A this point, sometimes after regular bills such as rent, utilities, etc they are left with very little money and that is used to pay for Branden's treatments.  Christopher works a part time job in the evenings after class to help support them but the burden on both of them is substantial.
We're not asking for money to support them for the next several years and we're not saying that their plight is any worse than anyone else fighting similar circumstances.  All that we're (his family) trying to do is get enough money to help them out over the next few months and help with Branden's medical bills.  The family has pulled together and helped them out when we can but resources for everyone are getting tight and this is something dearly needed.
A copay just for the doctor visit is $40.00 and he has those at least twice a month.  The copays for the chemo treatments and any additional appointments is substantially more.  If we can raise $2500.00, that would cover a large portion of his medical bills for the rest of the year and give him and his brother some breathing room and get a few more groceries in the house.  With the chemo always making Branden sick, he can't eat everything like he used to.
So, we aren't asking for everyone to donate their retirement or children's college fund, donating just a dollar helps.
Please donate and help out Branden and Christopher if you can.  Obviously we don't harbor any hard feelings against anyone who doesn't donate because no one knows what is going on in someone else's lives.
If you can't donate or don't wish to donate, please pass on this page so others might be able to help.
