Dear family and friends,
My name is Doreen Ventrella. I am the mother of 30-year old Branden. We created this Go Fund Me for my son Branden who was in a near fatal accident July 22, 2020. He suffered severe head and brain injuries, trauma and during surgery his whole frontal lobe was removed. He also had two strokes in the back of his brain along with other head injuries.
He is the father of 3 children living in Connecticut ages 12, 4, and 2. He has 3 brothers and 1 sister. His father lives in Connecticut and I live in Florida with my daughter and son. We are in need of financial support to stay by Branden's side to love him and hold him through this very difficult time while in the hospital and soon to be the brain trauma facility in Connecticut.
A miracle is being worked in Branden. The officer said no one survives this type of accident with the brain condition he saw. Branden did. The doctors told us that it is unlikely he will survive brain surgery. Branden did. They told me he has a low chance of making it through his surgical procedures for advanced life support. Branden did. Doctors told us there is only 1% chance that Branden would ever come out of the coma. Branden did. He currently remains in a vegatative state. Our family believes in the power of prayer and we are remaining in belief of another miracle. I continue to meet with brain surgeons and they tell me over and over basically that now is the time to make a decision about taking him off life support.
My heart cries for him, and at this time, I am not making that decision to end his life. There is no bond like the love of a mother and son and all of our family members are in support of this decision at this time. As a single mom on a fixed income, I do not have the funds for the required legal transition fees, health care nursing fees, financial obligations and travel costs that are in front of us.
Our family is in powerful prayer for God's promise of favor and provision as we wait on His will and timing for Branden's life and way forward. We ask you to join us in prayer and with any financial support to provide Branden comfort during his life transition.
