Brandens Recovery

On Saturday October 22nd, our sister went to the doctor because her left leg had been numb for a couple of days. Tests confirmed that she had no blood flow in the arteries below her knee.

The first surgeon told her that it was inoperable, beyond hope and that she would likely lose her leg.

Our Mom found a gifted vascular surgeon for a 2nd opinion. He was able to do a new and cutting edge procedure and clear alot of the blockage. She has lost one entire artery below her knee, and the long term is unknown ….

All of the doctors are baffled as to how/why this happened to someone her age, in her health.

Right now, she won’t be able to work for at least 2 weeks and has already missed 3 weeks.

Her medications are expensive and all of these specialist co pays are expensive for someone who was already just getting by. Branden is understandably traumatized, depressed, sad- you name it. We want to be able to alleviate as much of the burden as possible.

Branden is a sister , mother, daughter and aunt, cousin and friend , and she is loved by so many .

Branden is always helping others as her line of work has already shown us. She cares for homeless men in Birmingham and is always fundraising for the cause.
