Brandi Edwards Fight Cancer

I am reaching out to you today on behalf of my dear friend, Brandi Edwards who bravely continues her fight against Cancer. We recently received the heartbreaking news that the cancer had metastasized to her stomach lining and ovaries. This means that not only will she need more treatment, but after over a year out of work she will not be able to return to work anytime soon.

Brandi is the epitome for selflessness and devotion. As a single Mom, her world revolves around her 14 year-old son, Chase. For the past year and a half she has faced this fight with incredible courage and tenacity, all the while continuing to show up tirelessly with unwavering support for her son. Her commitment and love for him shines through in every aspect of her life.

The Battle Ahead

Despite her relentless spirit, Brandi faces a harrowing journey ahead. Her new treatment plan includes another round of aggressive chemotherapy followed by extensive surgery aimed at stopping the cancer’s spread. Additionally, she requires crucial immunotherapy drugs before every treatment session over the next three months. These drugs, unfortunately, are not covered by Alberta Health and cost between $600 and $1600 per shot.

Financial Strain

With disability checks that barely scratch the surface of her mounting bills, Brandi is under tremendous financial strain. She needs to keep a roof over her and her son’s head while mustering the mental and physical strength to fight this battle. Brandi remains committed to providing a loving and stable environment for Chase. But as the cost of these necessary immunotherapy drugs piles up and household expenses continue to grow the financial strain is becoming crippling.
