Welcome to Brandi’s Place!
At Brandi’s, we believe in the power of warmth and community—both in a fresh cup of coffee and in the way we welcome every person who walks through our doors.
Open 7pm-7am, we are more than a warm stop and a bite to eat. We are a space built for connection, healing, and dignity.
A place where judgment is left at the door, and people are met exactly where they are. Whether you need a hot meal, a quiet moment, or just a friendly face, Brandi’s Place welcomes you.
In December 2024, born out of need and incited by grief, Brandi’s Place opened without any financial support. We operate primarily on donations, and generate no revenue. Entirely staffed and led by volunteers - many of whom have their own personal experiences of adversity, loss, and marginalization.
Brandi’s Place runs on love.
Our aim is to keep the doors open throughout the winter months with a contract agreement to keep the space avialable until April 1st. Which is in negotiations to stay open longer.
Ultimately our dream is to stay operating year-round. Which all depends on our access to funding, resources and support from you, our community.
Our success this far reveals a deep well of kindness and generosity in the Nelson community. To continue to grow and secure sustainable funding, we need your help. Collaborative and innovative to the core, we invite people to contribute what they can, how they can. Brandi’s Place strives to break down barriers and offer much needed hope in these cold, dark winter months.
Please help us stoke this spark into a shining light with which to warm those left out in the cold. Everyone deserves respect, autonomy, and access to the things that make life better: good food, community, and the right to exist without shame or punishment.
At Brandi’s Place, we offer kindness without conditions, support without strings, and a space where you don’t have to prove your worth to be treated with dignity. Whether you’re on a journey of healing, survival, or simply looking for a place to be, everyone belongs here.
