Brando Family Car

Back in December, while driving home from an out of state event the engine of our car just died. Unexpectedly and with no warning we were left without a running vehicle and an ongoing car payment. The only way this issue has been described to us is "catastrophic engine failure."

Because we travel a lot we went over the miles for warranty. By 8k miles when it died. We had full insurance at the time it died but said it's not their problem cause it's mechanical failure. We tried pleading our case to the dealership because we were only barely past our warranty miles but they've said no. When this happened we had the car towed to a repair shop that said fixing this problem would cost almost as much as we owed on the car. A second repair shop told us the same. The dealership repair center told us it would be even more. The bank told us no on adding to our loan for any of these quoted repairs.

So we have spent the last several months relying on amazing friends and family members for help getting to and from work while we tried to find another solution. We've been shot down so many times on trying to trade this car in we've lost count. We have been unable to find a cheap car we can afford that doesn't need significant work done that wasn't snapped up before we could even look at it in person.

Finally, we have a light at the end of the tunnel. We found a dealership willing to work with us. They are willing to give us a fair trade in value for our kia and we have been approved for financing the one we are looking at. We just need to make up the difference in trade in value to what we still owe on the car we have before we can proceed. Which is why we need help. We are doing everything we can to make up that difference but every little bit of help means the world to us. We just want to move forward and put the last fee bad months behind us.
