Brandon & Adapt Ability Headline

Brandon is an 8-year-old boy full of life, loves animals, and wants to be outside playing with whatever he can get his hands on.

When he was seven years old, he was diagnosed with a genetic disorder called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, also known as DMD.

Having DMD means his body does not produce the protein needed for muscle repair or function properly. The muscle loss causes his muscles to get less intense as he gets older; it can even affect other organs in his body. Brandon cannot do the same things most kids his age can do, for example, walking up the stairs without struggling, running around without getting tired or falling, and cannot ride a bike. He must use a wheelchair to get around when he gets tired.

Brandon and Adapt Ability partner up to share everything we can about DMD with you and the world.

We want every individual with DMD to have the opportunity to have a quality of life and to enjoy and experience riding a bicycle.

Currently, there is no cure for this disability, and we want Brandon to have a normal childhood and have as much fun as he can with his family and friends. 

Brandon's Family and Adapt Ability is raising funds to custom-build an adaptive bicycle to help Brandon feel like any other child.
