Brandon Christopher Cancer Fund

Brandon Christopher turned 35 on August 2, 2016.  

On August 22nd, he was admitted to the hospital with symptoms of pneumonia. When the pulmonary physician did further testing with a CT Scan of his lungs, she noted he did not have pneumonia,  but cancer. There were multiple irregularities in his backbone, as well. Brandon was also having issues with bad constipation. So, the doctors ordered a colonoscopy which revealed a tumor in the rectum extending into the bowels.

On August 30th, the biopsy report came back with confirmation of rectal cancer. That night he was transferred to Herman Memorial Hospital under the care of Dr. Julie Rowe. His case is rare because 35 yr old healthy men don't get rectal cancer.  It is also rare for it to metastasize to both the bone and lungs.  Rectal cancer usually goes to the liver or other organs. This disease has eaten away his neck, back, and pelvic bones like termites eat through wood.

We recently found out that he has additional cancer growth to the cerebrum in the brain.   They have performed a Gamma Knife procedure.  

Brandon is currently in the hospital because suddenly his oxygen saturation started dropping and he couldn't breathe. He is at St. Elizabeth Hospital and will be transferred to Herman Memorial Cancer Center soon.

As of today, the cancer cells have mutated and he does not qualify for any trials.  The doctor is trying to find a chemo-treatment that would be effective for him.

We appreciate all donations. The funds will be used to pay for medical treatments, medications and any arrangements that may be needed.  

Brandon is the father of two young children.  Any excess donations will be used for their college funds.
