Brandon Davis- Hit and run victim

Second edit: Thank you so much to everyone who has donated. Originally I set this up with a number that was a general guess as to how much to fix the instruments, and refined that a bit, and being my first GoFundMe I've set up I was basically winging it. With this edit bumped it again due to potential medical costs (copays, deductibles etc), as these are still very much unknown. I will say that Brandon is overwhelmed by people's generosity in my conversations with him.

Edit: I've increased the goal amount with a thank you to everyone who has contributed. There's still a lot of unknown as Brandon is unable to play pipes to check status or ride his bike. I've not taken to thanking people individually as the site allows as I will leave that to him. That said, as a group thank you very much for helping as Brandon is a great guy and from a personal standpoint has made a huge positive impact on my musical journey.

This probably summarizes it best: "On this past Monday, March 31, around 9:30 pm, our beloved and incredibly talented piper, Brandon Davis, was injured in a vehicle vs. bicycle hit-and-run. Brandon was on his bike on his way home from playing with the Traditional Irish Session at Big Lick Brewing Company, when he was senselessly struck by a vehicle. Brandon sustained significant injuries, was rendered unconscious, and spent several days in the hospital. Due to his loss of consciousness, his memory of the event is limited. The driver struck Brandon and drove away, leaving Brandon helpless in the roadway. A pedestrian found Brandon and contacted emergency responders. "

Brandon is suffering from multiple physical injuries as well as severe damage to his instruments and bike. The purpose of this is to help him recover and cover the losses which he may have to his instruments and bike over and above any insurance he has.... as, being a hit and run, there is no culprit to be held liable. I may adjust the amount of this as things go and the true picture of things clarifies.
