A Miracle for Brandon
Donation protected
Our son, Brandon, has been diagnosed with NUT midline carcinoma, an extremely rare and aggressive form of cancer. Only 20-30 cases are reported each year.
Brandon is a hard-working and ambitious 22 year old college student in Gainesville, FL. In mid-April Brandon was admitted to the hospital with breathing problems, originally diagnosed with pneumonia and fluid was drained from his lungs. Malignant cells were found in the fluid and a CT was performed, which resulted in a biopsy of his lungs. It took 2 weeks and several university labs before the biopsies landed in Harvard where the cancer was properly identified. During that time, Brandon was again hospitalized and a chest tube placed to drain the never ending fluid in his lungs caused by this cancer. Brandon has undergone chemotherapy and radiation treatments in an attempt to shrink the tumors forming on his spine and in his lung. Unfortunately, the tumors have caused fractures to some of his vertebrae and are pressing on his esophagus making swallowing almost impossible. Surgery is not an option for Brandon and he continues to battle this cancer in the hospital.
We are trying to raise funds to help Brandon in the battle of his life, which is being fought hard by Brandon and his Doctors. Time is of the essence as this cancer is extremely aggressive and alternative drugs / treatments are likely going to be needed.
Any donation is greatly appreciated as well as sharing this campaign. We are praying for a Miracle for Brandon and hope you will join us.
