Dearest friends and family,
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Brandon Taylor Hicks.
We all remember Brandon as a free spirit, a consummate dreamer, hitching his way through a life he embraced through the lens of music and art. As a young man, Brandon chose a life on the road.. in the spirit of the many beautiful seekers. The notes of songs by The Grateful dead, like a beacon for his vagabond soul, lacing through his trails. We all admire the bravery of the adventurer, for the golden arrows they fire at the cold heart of convention, and we all knew Brandon as an archer.
Brandon was born on January 14th 1972, and left this world on January 14th 2021. On the very same day of his birth, and on a lonely road... as one might expect to read in a poetic shakespearean tragedy. We are all bereft, and his family is in great pain and in need of help to give him his final rest. The funds we ask will be put towards that end, and for a proper memorial of our dearly departed, and our farewell to Brandon.
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
