Brandon Lockwood

Hello, I'm Sandy Schatz. Today, my heart was just broken into pieces to learn that Brandon Lockwood had been murdered last night. He became just another victim in the growing epidemic of gun violence. I have known him, his twin brother (as you can see they are not identical), and his mother for 23 years. Brandon had a heart that was bigger than himself, which is saying a lot because he was so dang tall! When my brother died in 2007 from a drug overdose, he comforted me as only he could by offering to help me find the drug dealer and hold him accountable for what happened. I loved him so much for that! When his mom called me this morning to tell me what had happened, hearing her trying to talk through her tears - and mine - I knew I had to find a way to ease her pain and try to make this time a little easier for her. I told her I would take care of the arrangements for Brandon, who wanted to be cremated. I also told her I would find a way to take care of the expenses, knowing she could not afford to do this. She is suffering not just from her son's death but is also helping her sister who has cancer. If you could find a way to donate whatever you can afford, we all will be extremely grateful. If, by some crazy chance, we go over what the costs are, whatever may be left will go to his surviving child. Thank you for your kindness. Please pray for all of us.
