Brandon Teague Cancer Fundraiser

Brandon Michael Teague 29 years young, recently diagnosed with Stage 4 epithelioid leiomyosarcoma cancer. The cancer is in his lungs, the mass/tumor is inoperable. Which means, he is relying on his team of Drs. to come up with a treatment plan that will slow down the process of his cancer. Since his diagnosis in early August, he has had two very aggressive chemo treatments. Aggressive meaning, the chemo was of high dosage and in turn these chemo treatments make him very very ill. Brandon was to receive his next chemo treatment last week but was unable to due to his white blood count being too elevated for a treatment. This cancer in the stage it is in, can be aggressive and pass to other organs and the bloodstream. Without being able to remove the tumor due to its size and location, chemo is about the only treatment available to do any sort of treatment in hopes of slowing it down. So this is where I am hoping friends and family can come in... and please bare with me during this next passage....
Brandon is someone I hold dear to my heart, he has such a zest for life. He could always be found riding his Harley, watching his favorite college football team and just plain enjoying life. His sense of humor is by far the number 1 thing I have grown to love about him. He has the ability to make anyone laugh on their worst day. He and I have an amazing friendship that most people could only understand if they had the chance to see how much we laugh. Recently, his Aunt and I flew to Tennessee to see him while he was hospitalized for some complications he was having. Although, I went there expecting the very worst, I walked into a room seeing him sitting up in his bed, when he had turned to see who entered his room, much to his surprise there we were. As sick as he was at the time, his eyes lit up and he gave a smile I will NEVER forget. That last sentence is what I love about this boy, his strength, his willingness to give his all. He fights when there's barely anything left to fight with, he falls hard and picks himself back up. This is something he has done his whole life.
Brandon married his life long friend Melissa Ratliff (Teague) shortly after his diagnosis of cancer. Melissa and her father Johnny and mother Teresa have been a huge part of Brandon's life. Johnny and Brandon's father were very close friends. Brandon's late father Mike R Teague was a true military man. He spent his life protecting and serving. At the age of 16, Brandon had to hear the news no child should have to hear. His father Mike, was doing a private security mission in Fallujah when their automobile was gunned down, set fire and brutally attacked. Mike was only 38 years old. Mike was a graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School in 1984.
So, here's where I ask you all to help. Due to Brandon's lack of medical insurance during his diagnosis and many long days and nights in the hospital, the medical bills are still coming. Along with the expense of paying for his insurance that doesn't cover all his testing and stays. His family Melissa, Johnny and Teresa have missed numerous days of work, the hospital Brandon stays at and gets treatment from is an hour away. My goal is to try to raise some money to help in any way I can. For travel, medical bills, medicine and just daily expenses.
Brandon is such an amazing young man, too young to be going through this. I want to thank you all in advance for any donation you can give. Trust when I say your kindness will be more than appreciated.
