Brandon Werner Car Accident
Donation protected
We NEED help! This miracle and recovery is going to take A LOT OF FUNDS. Brandon has a 9 year old little boy and obligations that he’s not even awake for at the moment. Trips from his only family back and forth from Kansas are going to be costly. ANYTHING YOU CAN DO is very much appreciated.
Here are some words from Brandons sister with details on what the injuries are.......
Words are hard to find right now. First and for most, on behalf of our family we thank you from the depths of our souls for the prayers and support we have gotten. It’s been only one day and I’m not sure iv woken up yet. The list of injuries are intense, hard to understand some, but none the less, extremely critical. As you all are getting ready for Christmas with your families, ours is now gathering around Brandon praying for a miracle. I didn’t get much sleep, and my brain can’t think straight, so what I can tell you off the top of my head is this....
Thursday night he lost control and hit a telephone pole. As his car spun around it, it ejected him out the window 90 feet from the car. A lot is undetermined still. But we figure he was out there 30-60 mins before help arrived. He was intubated at the scene and went into cardiac arrest and died for about two minutes before they air lifted him out. He was in brain surgery yesterday morning for five hours. At this point, doctors cannot give us a prognosis. It’s sadly, a waiting game at this point. He’s on a ventilator and they are breathing for him. They have removed half of his skull to allow for swelling of the brain and have placed a pressure release bolt in his head. He has countless contusions, hematomas, gashes, rips, tears, on multiple parts of his brain and skull. We can’t do MRI of the brain to the bolts in head right now. He’s got pneumonia and a slight fever. he has damage to his carotid arteries. He shattered all the bones in his face and will need facial reconstruction as some point. Every bone in his neck and portions of his shoulders and back are also broken and fractured. It won’t be until they wake him up from his medically induced coma will we know if there’s any paralysis. Broken rib cage, destroyed left leg, in fact the worst broken leg these doctors have ever seen, bruising and some bleeding and pockets on the lungs. Ripped his ear off. I can’t even go on right now with the rest. At this point, it’s just a waiting game. We don’t have any answers yet. As soon as We know anything, I’ll share it with all. But, please, in the mean time, allow us this time to be together as a family. We appreciate and love every single prayer and word. But we also need to be together as a family without distractions right now. All we can do is pray. Please pray. Pray hard. It’s truly in Gods hands right now. Merry Christmas and we will update you all soon.
