Brandon’s Final Fight
Donation protected
UPDATE: It’s with a heavy heart and overbearing sadness that I bring this update:
July 5th, 2024, Brandon’s fight came to an end! I just have no words at the moment. All I know is that God took one of the BEST!
Brandon will ALWAYS be my HERO giving me strength to keep going, making me be nice when you need to be heard, forcing a smile on my face. Brandon’s non judgmental love for EVERYONE from all walks of life will live in all of us! Love was the answer with this kid and his genuine smile that could light up a room and kindness to all is most likely why the loss is so great!
He put up one helluva battle! Brandon is now at peace and for that I’m grateful! You fly high kid!!!!
All donations will now be redirected from assisting his mom from being able to be by his side every step of his journey to helping her lay him to rest. PLEASE, I BEG FOR EVERYONE WHO CAN TO HELP HER OUT cuz it’s what he would want! I told Brandon on Thursday being a smart ass like I am, “I got you and her always”. He took it seriously and said “I know Neady”. And, somehow, someway, I will do all I can to help her. So PLEASE, share!
If you know us personally, you can reach directly out to me and I can provide you details to get cards and support directly to her.
At this time, Brandon’s entire family, friends, and our community need so many prayers for strength and knowing he’s at peace!
I love you kid! I will always love you! You watch over us all! I just know you are up there rolling and spinning with your grandpa!
BRANDONS FIGHT with this monster in its entirety has been shared and regular updates in this campaign. I have done my very best to keep everyone informed. Here was his story:
First, please above all prayer for Brandon. Next, I’d like to fill you in on the details. Brandon Veite is one of our own local community members. He is the most genuine human being that I have ever met in my life. This kid is the type of person who would give a stranger the shirt off his back if they needed it. He would and has always given a lending hand to anyone needing help. He now needs OUR help and did I mention prayers for a miracle. Brandon was diagnosed almost 3 years ago with a rare form of Leukemia. I started this GoFundMe quite a long time ago when he first began traveling back and forth to Pittsburgh for his treatments. Those treatments were 2-3 days a week which required him to sometimes stay overnight or make the long drive back home to Bradford, PA. He endured Bone Marrow biopsies, Lumbar Punctures with Chemo, and several different Chemo regimens. Unfortunately, those treatments were not as successful as the doctors had hoped. Brandon never lost his faith or hope because there was another option that required intense treatment and had begun August 31st. 2022. Moving forward, Brandom traveled back and forth to Pittsburgh for 2 months for these treatments. Then, he underwent a stem cell transplant which required him to stay inpatient at the Pittsburgh hospital for a few more months. Following the inpatient stay, he was required to stay in a hotel in Pittsburgh for about 90 days to be able to be seen by the hospital staff daily. Due to Brandon’s weak immune system, he was limited to most daily activities and had minimum community interactions. Through it all, Brandon has never stopped the fight nor complained about it. He just cared about how long it would be before he could get home with his two beautiful little girls. On October 8th, 2022, we held a Spaghetti Dinner Benefit! June 24th, 2023, a BBQ chicken dinner benefit was done for Brandon. All proceeds from those 2 events went towards Brandon’s Fierce Fight that he was battling while continuing to rack up expenses. It was during this time that Brandon’s mother had been forced to relocate back to the Bradford area to be able to physically help and care for him. Brandon was doing great until last week. Last week, Brandon was admitted back into the hospital on Thursday. By Sunday, he was moved to ICU with full blown pneumonia and sepsis. Brandon takes one step in the right direction for something else to go wrong. His current status is heartbreaking. His kidneys have taken a huge hit, and he was put on dialysis. Since then, the toxins slowly have been reduced slightly. Brandon received a white blood transfusion to assist with fighting off the pneumonia and sepsis. Brandon’s heart has taken some damage. Now, as of this morning, his mom told me that his liver is not doing well. This kid has been putting up quite the FIGHT and he’s STILL fighting. The entire time, his mother is right by his side not knowing from day to day where she is staying or what is going to happen, much less worrying about life. She is right by his side where SHE NEEDS TO BE! Brandon is far from being out of the danger zone. Bottom line, this family needs help. I have always said it takes a village and here’s a kiddo and his mother who NEED our community, our strength, our prayers, and our inspiration! Let’s be Brandon light as he endures this battle! Thank you in advance for this young man and his family!
