Brandon's Tree Crushed Car Fund

Donation protected
We’re asking for your support for our dear son and brother Brandon, the 2nd oldest of 5 siblings, who’s experienced a life-long struggle with anxiety and depression.

Brandon was just about to start college in 1997 when his next-youngest brother was killed in a car accident. It took several years to integrate that loss but finally, in 2006, Brandon had a good job and was able to buy his first car. Within 2 years, he had it paid off and was living in a lovely light-filled apartment.

However, Brandon’s mental health challenges worsened in this last decade, adversely affecting every staging area of his life, including health, employment, and finances, requiring him to live with friends. His car was Brandon’s only link to an independent future: he had a reliable way to get to work. And Brandon has worked so hard to pull himself out of a recent slump; he's halfway through a coding course for the neurodivergent while working part-time.

Yesterday, a storm blew a tree onto his car, flattening it. He only had liability insurance. The car only had 80K miles on it, but it's totaled.

Brandon’s birthday is within this next week, as are the anniversaries of his father’s and brother’s deaths. The emotional stress of this time is now even greater for our Brandon.

Please hold the intention that his nervous system will settle and that Brandon will feel that there is a path forward for him.

And if you are able, please contribute to this car fund so we can help Brandon find reliable transportation so that he can continue his momentum toward a happier, independent future.
