Brandy Rector Vehicle
Donation protected
This fundraiser is to help a very special person to many of us, Brandy Rector. Brandy was born with cerebral palsy, which has confined her to a wheelchair and limited the use of her hands. Even with these major setbacks, Brandy is one of the most positive encouraging people you will ever meet. She loves life, loves people, and loves God. However, as if her physical disabilities were not enough, Brandy has faced her share of financial and personal challenges. For all intents and purposes, Brandy is on her own. The government provides an assistant to help her with daily activities, but financial margins are thin. She lives a simple life alone in an apartment with her dog. Days can be difficult and lonely. However, her van is her connection to the world. To most people, we probably don’t think about our vehicle very often. To a disabled person, their vehicle is the most important thing they own. Brandy can’t call Uber or ask a friend for a ride. Her wheelchair is electric, heavy, and won’t fit in anything but a vehicle designed to carry it. So when her current van began giving her problems months ago, it became clear something had to be done. After countless hours of repairs and a lot of money, it seems the van is done. It’s nearly 20yrs old and has served her well. Unfortunately, wheelchair accessible vans are expensive and Brandy needs our help. We have found a pre-owned van that fits her needs perfectly and need your help in purchasing it for her. Please prayerfully consider donating any amount to help this wonderful young woman.
