My name is Brandy. I am a mother of two beautiful children. Sweet Emma who will be 8 in July, and baby Liam just turned 10 months old. We live in a little apartment and we are struggling a little.
I was diagnosed in February 2016, with a rare and aggressive type of Ovarian Cancer. Without the chemotherapy treatments, I would not be here today. This type of cancer is ridiculously fast growing. It's been difficult to digest this information. To think I might not be around too see my children grow. Not a thought that ever even occurred to me.
I'm fighting hard to keep being their Mommy.
I recently found out that Texas Medicade denied my claim for financial assistance. Because of this, all my appointments and treatments have been canceled untill I can purchase a healthcare plan.
Can you imagine receiving a phone call that basically said, buy health insurance or die. As it turns out the affordable healthcare, is very expensive and they only pay a portion of the cost for me to live.
It will also add yet another bill to the stack I have to juggle already, on my fixed income through disability.
I'm drowning in medical expenses.
I'm asking for help with these costs as well as daily living expenses.
