Brantley Family Medical Expense Support

Hello,

My name is Courtney Morey and I am a friend to Erica thanks to the gift we share of being mothers to two of the Lucky Few.

Avery is putting up the biggest fight of his life after being unexpectedly being placed on ECMO during a non heart related hospital admission for Norovirus. ECMO is a life support machine that is currently doing the job of his heart and lungs to allow them to rest after his cardiac code. At this time it appears pulmonary hypertension is the main culprit.

This machine and the presence of pulmonary hypertension are two things I am personally very familiar with as my daughter is an ECMO survivor and a daily warrior to pulmonary hypertension. Spencer and I have walked this road that Erica and John are on and they need this community right now, I promise you. We could have *never made it without the outpouring of support we experienced.

I honestly didn't know what to make the goal amount because when a child is on life support there are more variables than one can imagine.

What I do know is, there have been and will be all sorts of expenses for the Brantleys. Because of the (absurd) visitor policy John has to leave each night at 9:00 pm and stay in a close by hotel.

Hotel costs, meals, gas, big sister Peyton, time off work, medical bills, these are weights they do not need to spend a moment stressing over. Avery needs every bit of their attention right now.
