Brave like Berlynn

Hello family and friends. As most of you may know, our niece Berlynn will be undergoing open heart surgery on December 16th at CHLA.
For those of you that do not know about Berlynn, she was born with DiGeorge Syndrome. Due to this she has a congenital heart defect in the form of a right aortic arch. This has also caused an aberrant left subclavian artery (the artery that serves her left arm) has routed itself behind her esophagus, which causes feeding issues. The surgery is going to reroute the left subclavian to place it in front of her tracheae to relieve the compression. Along with this issue, Berlynn is also challenged with epilepsy and Hypothyroidism.
At this time, her doctors have decided that it would be in her best interest to correct the artery. This decision was extremely sudden and unfortunately our brother Aaron and his family are not fully prepared financially. With all of her doctors appointments and shortened work hours due to Covid as well as surgery preparation, Aaron has exhausted all of his time off benefits (PTO, Sick Time, Kincare and FMLA) and will have to take the time off unpaid for about 6-8 weeks. Aaron is the sole provider for his family and we are kindly asking our family and friends for some help. If you are able to donate, anything will be of help for the weeks to come after the surgery. If you are not able to donate please keep the Delgado Family in your prayers. Our family is very blessed to have such wonderful loving people in our lives. #bravelikeberlynn
