Bravery, courage, and the will to survive
Hello, our names are Gabriel, Yossi, and Einat and we are raising funds for our mother Jacqueline, who is 81 years old. This is her story:
My mother’s kibbutz, Ein Hashlosha, was attacked on Saturday 10/7/23. Gabriel called her as soon as we heard about the news in Israel. While with her on the phone, Hamas terrorists entered her home, took her phone at gunpoint, and told her to stay in the shelter room. They then set her house on fire. Our mother realized that if she didn’t get out of the house, she would be burned alive. She had the courage to escape by jumping out of her back window in her pajamas and flip flops. She desperately knocked on neighbors’ doors, but people were afraid to open their doors because of the terrorists. Other neighbors finally let her in and kept her in the shelter with them. Her home, the home where we grew up, was burned and destroyed.
She was evacuated hours later and is staying with her sister, but she has lost everything she’s ever owned. We are blessed that she’s ALIVE!
These funds will go toward helping her rebuild her life. Thank you.
