Braving the shave for Blood Cancer UK!
Hi, I’m Christiana and I’m 23 years old.
Very recently, my wonderful Mum was diagnosed with blood cancer. My Dad died when I was little, so my Mum and I have always been very close and she’s my favourite person.
To tell you the truth, I am really scared.
The charity Blood Cancer UK provides hope for people facing blood cancer, so I have decided to brave the shave to raise money for them.
I did have 14 extra inches of hair which I donated to The Little Princess Trust in April but I have never been brave enough to shave my entire head! I love my hair. I’ve always been self-conscious about my big nose and forehead, but my hair hides the forehead and allows me not to focus as much on my nose. I’ve now realised how little these insecurities really matter. Every day, cancer patients are forced to lose their hair and I’m privileged that I get to choose to lose mine.
If you are able to, please consider donating to my fundraiser or sharing my story this Christmas, I would be really grateful. Let’s make blood cancer history! Thank you so much x
