Brayden’s tragedy at Target in Downtown LA

The immense pain I felt was unlike any other when I found out that my little cousin who is like my little brother was stabbed with the intention of being killed, I felt stabbed in my heart.

My little cousin Brayden Medina was a victim of the tragic event on Tuesday evening November 15, 2022, at Target in Downtown LA. He was stabbed in the back and suffered a deep wound on the back of his shoulder. He is a 9-year-old boy who was brave enough to try to flee but unfortunately did not escape his attacker’s stab.

The details of the incident are not known, but unfortunately, Brayden suffered the violence of the attacker by being on his path. He was stabbed in his back shoulder two times and it's been said that the 25-year-old woman who was stabbed in the chest intervened to save my cousin's life. God bless her soul, my prayers go out to her and my heart to her family.

Thank god he is in a stable condition, he is a strong child, we know he will get through this. We are just praying that it would not intervene with his ability to everyday life due to the deep laceration in his shoulder. He is now going through physical therapy to fully recover, though he is having complications in his legs. We are asking for support from your kind heart to help us pay for the expenses that will come along with this injury. We will be using the money to help his family alleviate this nightmare come true. El inmenso dolor que sentí fue como ningún otro cuando descubrí que mi primo pequeño que es como mi hermano pequeño fue apuñalado con la intención de ser asesinado, me sentí acuchillada en mi corazón.

Mi primo pequeño Brayden Medina fue víctima del trágico evento el martes por la noche Noviembre 15 del 2022 en Target en el centro de Los Ángeles. Fue apuñalado en la espalda y sufrió una herida profunda en la parte posterior del hombro. Es un niño de 9 años que tuvo la valentia de intentar huir pero lamentablemente no escapó de la puñalada de su atacante.

No se conocen los detalles del incidente, pero lamentablemente, Brayden sufrió la violencia del atacante al estar en su camino. Le dieron dos cuchilladas en la espalda del hombro y se dice que la mujer de 25 años que fue apuñalada en el pecho intervino para salvarle la vida a mi primo. Dios bendiga su alma, mis oraciones están con ella y mi corazón con su familia.

Gracias a dios se encuentra estable, es un niño fuerte, sabemos que saldrá adelante. Solo estamos orando para que no interfiera con su capacidad para la vida cotidiana debido a la profunda laceración en su hombro. Ahora está pasando por fisioterapia para recuperarse por completo, aunque tiene complicaciones en las piernas. Estamos pidiendo el apoyo de su amable corazón para ayudarnos a pagar gastos que tendrean la Familia para aliviar cualquier gastopara ayudar a que Brayden se recupere rapido.
