Braylee Mann's Medical Expenses
Donation protected
Braylee Mann was diagnosed with Acanthamoeba Keratitis for the 2nd time in her opposite eye. AK is a rare but serious infection of the eye that can result in permanent visual impairment or blindness. This infection is caused by a microscopic, free-living ameba (single-celled living organism) called Acanthamoeba. Acanthamoeba causes Acanthamoeba Keratitis when it infects the cornea of the eye.
Braylee is a beautiful, caring, 17 year old high school senior, who loves basketball and horses. She has to take a total of 6 different eye drop medications every hour daily, which makes her unable to attend her senior year. She does have health insurance, however it does not cover the cost of her expensive eye medications. She is also traveling to Lexington, KY a few times per week for her specialist eye doctor appointments, and now to the Cincinnati Eye Institute.
Any amount donated is greatly appreciated and will go towards helping her and her family with medical expenses, travel expenses and any other expenses as she battles round 2.
Thank you!
