Lorena, a Brazilian Young Birder

My name is Lorena Patrício. I’m 15 years old and I live in São Paulo state, in Brazil. I am a truly passionate birder since I was 10, when began birdwatching.

This year I’ve been selected among 16 young people to attend the Cornell Lab of Ornithology Young Birders Event in July. I'm really happy!

I made a sample video to show you my history and explain everything properly about why I’m writing for you. I hope you to join and understand it.

The point is that I really want to attend the event, but the total costs to join this opportunity are high for me once I’m from abroad.

The total costs include

- US $600 of the event tuition

- US $2200 of the airfare Brazil to Ithaca – NY, U.S.A.

- US $1000 for others costs

I’m in need of more help with the costs, so this is why I got in touch with you.
