Breadwinners' Refugee Week 2020 Fun Run
This week is Refugee Week 2020, and even a global pandemic will not stop the Breadwinners' crew from hitting the pavement for a fun run to celebrate!
To JOIN Sunday 21st of June, 10:45 am UK Time, 5km REFUGEE WEEK RUN (or walk), on a "Solo" run (you choose where to run, maintaining social distance). Sign up HERE.
We will link into a VideoCall and cheer each other to the finish line!
Breadwinners provides refugees and asylum seekers with work experience and employment to empower individuals to start their lives in the UK. And the Breadwinners community is like a family, for volunteers and participants alike, and for lots of young people including those who arrived in the UK as unaccompanied minors.
The value of the Breadwinners' community, brimming with people from all walks of life working together to learn from one another, is particularly clear today, as we see the world sadly still grappling to deal with racism. We are so proud of our Breadwinners' community; a microcosm of what we think the world should look like.
And as we grapple with the uncertainty of life today living in a global pandemic, one thing is certain - the amazing contribution that refugees and asylum seekers so often make to our societies. During this global pandemic, we have been so happy to hear of the voluntary work of members of the Breadwinners' community.
We know that times are tough but if you have any capacity to donate to Breadwinners, we would be so grateful. Any contribution is so much appreciated!
