Breanna Willdens Battle With Cancer

Donation protected
Hello, I'm the proud mother of Breanna Willden. I'm starting this fund raiser to help with medical, travel, and living expenses for this young lady who was diagnosed with stage 4, of a rare, ATYPICAL Neuroendocrine Carcinoid Cancer, almost a year ago at age 22.

The day I found out will forever be burned in my heart as it will never be the same again. When Breanna was 20, she was in a terrible car wreck, while the hospital checked the x-rays, the Dr. found a spot in her right lung. They advised her to have it checked, and so she had a biopsy that came back benign. Hooray! We were all so happy to hear the good news! Unfortunately, that would not last. The Dr.s advised her to come back in a year to have it rechecked but in that year Breanna found out she was pregnant, (HOORAY!) and would not be able to get scans done till after she gave birth.

Nine months later, she has a beautiful little girl that looks just like her, little Blakely! Breanna is a wonderful, caring, attentive mother and the bond between the two of them is beautiful. And so motherhood comes along and life gets busy...

Breanna starts to have chest pains, breathing gets harder, she can barely walk up the stairs. She goes to multiple Doctors and Emergency rooms only to be told it could be an after effect from covid, its nothing to worry about. Breanna tells me she has pain in her hips and her back aches. I'm thinking it could be from childbirth.

Months go on, she's in and out of Doctors offices, they're telling her it's probably nothing, don't worry. She's only 22, what else could it be?

February of 2022, she decided to try a different Emergency Room and finally someone took her seriously. That day when she walked in the door after the ER, I could see it on her face the news was not good but never would I have guessed she would have Satge 4 Cancer in her lungs, liver, and breasts.

Shock set in... horror, anger, despair, and sorrow,

Fast forward to the Oncologist office her first Pet Scans showed the left and right lungs covered in tumors, both breast with multiple tumors, liver showing tumors, and throughout her bones.

Chemotherapy pills were started along with all the side affects that come with it.

Radiation was recommended for the areas with extreme pain in which her hips, shoulders, breasts, and sternum were treated.
Three months after Chemotherapy, and new scans taken, it did not show good news. Tumors grew, multiplied, and new areas popped up. The cancer was progressing faster than they've seen. It was now going up her spine and eventually into her skull. Breanna had additional radiation on her spine and two areas of her skull. She was advised that the next step would be to try immunotherapy.

Throughout all this time, Breanna is doing an amazing job raising her daughter, trying to spend as much quality time as possible with her between treatments, appointments, sickness, and horrible pain.

Breanna had countless trips in and out of the Emergency room and admitted several times for her pain control, dehydration, vomiting and coughing. One ER visit she was throwing up blood and black stool. We found out the radiation caused a bleed in her esophagus that needed surgical repair.

Fast forward 3 months after the start of Immunotherapy, the scans showed a bit of hope. The cancer growth has dramatically slowed down

We are hopeful that this treatment plan will not only stop the cancer from growing but start decreasing in size.

Although the cancer is slowing, her pain is intensifying. After the last Emergency Room visit the, pain management Dr. recommend an internal medication pump to deliver a wider variety of medications for her pain. Breanna decide to proceed with the pump as the pain was unbearable. She has now been on the pump for over a week and while it is managing the cancer pain, it has caused her constant headaches. If the headaches do not resolve in the next few weeks, she will need another surgery to fix this issue.

Breanna is so strong and determined to fight this.I don't know how shes strong enough to get up everyday, she's my hero. All she wants is to raise her baby, watch her grow and be there for all Blakelys childhood milestones.

Breanna and Blakely are surrounded with love and help from family and friends. We will never give up hope that she will be healed.

I've started this to plead for a miracle and anyone who is willing to pray for my baby. All she wants is additional time with her daughter and loved ones. Any money donated, we thank you. Donations will help her with the medical bills.
