Breanne "Bree" Duncan

It is with great sadness and a truly heavy heart that we share the news of Bree's unexpected passing last week.

Bree was visiting with her co-workers in Las Vegas for a conference, and on the last day of the trip she collapsed. When she was being rushed to a nearby hospital, she went into cardiac arrest. EMTs worked to restore her pulse, and once at the hospital Dr.'s worked to do everything they could to give Bree the best chance to survive. They induced her into a coma and lowered her body temperature giving her body and mind time to heal. While Bree was in the coma, her family traveled to be by her side. She was surrounded by her family, her husband Jon, parents, grandparents, Jon's parents, sisters, cousins, friends.
And though Bree was a fighter, she was not able to recover.

Bree was such an amazing person, and probably had the biggest heart of anyone you will ever know. She would be the first one to call or text on birthdays or anniversaries, and the first to volunteer to help for most any event. If you knew her, chances are you had a nickname she gave you - 'mom', 'sister', 'cousin', 'friend'. If you were her friend, you were also family to her - and she made sure you always knew it. She was not stingy with her love, hugs, encouragements, or support. Bree was love incarnate, and we are all worse off for loosing her and her love.

Bree had just turned 31 years old, and in those 31 years had spent nearly half of them working with friends and family at Asplundh. She had just celebrated her 13 year anniversary. There is no one who worked harder than Bree, and she was very very valued and loved here. She was able to both work with her immediate family here (grandpa, mom, sisters, and uncle) and make a 2nd family out of co-workers she made friends with. She even met her husband Jonathan at Asplundh.

Jon and Bree were married in 2021, and have two beautiful children together - Teagan (3), and Wyatt (1). They were creating a rich life together filled with love and adventures in Georgia. Bree would often share pictures or small videos' sharing their lives together. She had also recently shared her new found passion in helping special needs children with her church, and was excited for the community she was becoming a part of there.

Losing Bree is a tragedy, and unfortunately, with unexpected tragedies, there are also unexpected expenses - this is why we are asking for support.

If you are able to contribute, please consider helping to support Jon, her children, and the family as they navigate this tremendous loss. These donations will help with her memorial services, loss of income, and potential child care as they plan on how to move forward with out Bree, and her enormous heart.
