Breast and colon cancer Medical
Donation protected
My name is Jean Davis (Tiwana Porter's mom), in May 2021, she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She had my
yearly mammogram, however, no lumps or bumps could be felt. She had a lumpectomy.
20 weeks of chemotherapy and six weeks of radiation therapy daily. After overcoming
breast cancer she saw blood in her stool November 2022, thinking it was hemorrhoids.
She contacted her doctor and requested a colonoscopy. The doctor stated she was too
young for a colonoscopy. She was 43. Two years before colonoscopy age. She insisted
on a colonoscopy. The doctor finally ordered the test, and to his surprise, was shocked
to see the results. There was a mass found in the sigmoid part of the colon. She had colon surgery on December 14, 2022. A port was placed in the chest on
January 10, 2023, and 10 days later she developed a blood clot in the jugular vein, staff
infection in the blood system and pericarditis in the heart. Port had to be removed and
Chemo postpone until a later date. The infection had to clear before Chemo could be
started. She's currently receiving Chemo. She's admitted to Mayo Hospital in Rochester
MN for Chemo. We travel back and forth from Minneapolis, MN to Rochester MN for the
treatments. Insurance only covers a portion of treatments. Deductibles and co insurance still apply. My daughter has experienced so much the past few years and your help will assist her family to pay the medical bills. No donation is too small. Thank you for your help.
Thankful,
Jean Davis (Tiwana's mother)
