Breathe for Sue Lung Cancer Fund

Donation protected
For those of you who know our mom, Sue Elleman, you know that she is a fighter.  Fifteen years ago, mom proved to everyone, including herself, just how strong she was during her battle with cancer.  It was a proud moment when we learned that she finally achieved full remission back in 1999.
In addition to her strength, mom is well known for her consideration towards others, and her ability to spread joy & optimism wherever it is needed.  Now it is our turn to surround her with the same love & support that she has demonstrated for years....
On June 10th, mom received the dreadful diagnosis yet again.  Mom was diagnosed with advanced stage lung cancer (non small cell adenocarcinoma).  She will be receiving 6 cycles of chemotherapy, followed by continuous maintenence chemo in efforts to control the disease process.  Unfortunately, she is not a strong candidate for radiation therapy due to extensive treatments in the past.
Because chemotherapy has such a strong impact on the body's ability to fight infection, mom's immune system will not be efficient enough to work during treatment & recovery.  At this time we are unsure about what her future employment status will be, however, we are confident that her care team will implement a safe plan that meets her health needs.
As with all individuals suffering from acute or chronic illness, it is crucial that they are able to focus on their health without worrying about financial burdens associated with medical costs.  After speaking with financial coordinators & health insurance personnel, we realized that financial assistance for our mom is necessary.  As they say...nobody fights alone!
Donations, words of encouragement & prayers will be greatly appreciated during this time.  Several friends and family members have already helped mom emotionally & physically, and we love you for that!
Every donation is a breath of relief for our mom....and as you know, every breath counts for her!

Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
