Brecon Food Bank & The Memory Lane Cafe

On the 6th of July Silver Assist Homecare will be completing a sunrise to sunset (12 mile) hike across Pen y Fan and The Dragon's Back to raise money, and awareness, for two amazing local charities;

Brecon Foodbank who support individuals and families who may be experiencing a tough time. 2281 people in crisis were fed by Brecon Foodbank in 2023 with an amazing 959 food parcels issued to people in need.

The Memory Lane Cafe provide a support network and a friendly face for individuals living with dementia and their loved ones. Within Powys there are approximately 2400 people living with dementia, and, because of our ageing population, this figure is set to rise to 44% within the next 8 years.
