Bree, Noah & Haven Marie fight MMA together

Donation protected

Hi, my name is Marie and I am fundraising for my niece Bree and her boyfriend Noah and thier sweet beautiful baby Haven Marie.

Haven Marie was born on 5/11/23 to Bree Marie & Noah. She went home with mommy and daddy on 5/13/23, A beautiful, happy & healthy full of life little baby.
On the evening of Mother's Day, she was extremely fussy and gassy. Throughout that night and into the next morning, she wasn't eating, wasn't acting like she had since she was born and was cold to the touch. Momma (a nurse) checked her temp and could not get a reading, so decided to take her into the local ER on 05/15/23.
At just 4 days old, They did extensive testing, including a spinal tap on Haven Marie, trying to check for every possible thing. Ater several hours at the local er, they transported Haven Marie by ambulance to Tristar Centennial children's hospital, while mom and dad follwed right behind. There They began more testing. While on the ride, mom received a call from Nashvilles Monroe Carrol Vanderbilt Children's hospital, stating that Haven Marie needed to be brought there as her genetic screening came back abnormal and they have a geneticist on staff. Mom received a phone call, from the doctor while we all were waiting in a waiting room. She put the phone on speaker and the Dr's first question to her and Havens daddy was "Has any baby in your families ever died at 3 days old"? Can you imagine that shock, then the gasps for air, trying to talk through the uncontrollable crying, feeling the pain and hurt for yourself and for your family and their sweet baby
Now being transported from Centennial to Vanderbilt, the team began testing and rescreening Haven Marie to get solid answers.
Mom and Dad were told that they believed she had a metabolic disorder and that her ammonia levels were over 1500 and her MMA levels were very high, which caused her brain to swell & her little body to start shutting down.
The staff in the PICU unit at Vanderbilt, got her hooked up on a dialysis machine to help flush out the ammonia, they had her on a ventilator, central lines with several different meds and a NG tube was placed for feeding. Due to the swelling on her brain it was causing her to have very mild seizure like activity, they monitored her for servers days and as the swelling went down the seizure activity quit. This sweet girl is still on an NG tube for her medication , she is receiving the B-12 shots daily, taking Levocarnitine and the carbaglu. She is taking her formula by mouth which is a mix of MMA formula and breast milk. The nurses tell us that this MA Special formula is extremely expensive. Haven, her mommy and daddy have spent the last 15 days in the hospital. Mom and dad have not left her bedside. While mom is on Maternity leave, dad is not and isn't getting paid for the time he isn't there. I'm not sure if mom will be able to return to work after her 6 weeks due to this disorder. Haven Marie will need Special care, special medicine and special MMA formula. Bree & Noah, just bought a house last year and the bills are still coming in. I cannot imagine what thier medical bills will be now and in the future as this is something Haven Marie will live with forever. I am asking all of you to please continue to pray for our sweet girl, and her parents and donate if you can. Anything will help. Thank you all in advance.
