Bree's 40 km's for 40 years - Lauderdale Primary
I'm about to turn 40 and I want to spend the next half of my life focused on helping those in my broader community. So when I learned that Lauderdale Primary School could use additional classroom resources, I knew exactly what to do.
I'll be celebrating my 40th birthday by running 40 kilometres to raise money for the school!
Lauderdale Primary School could use additional items such as ipads, laptops and smart screens. The types and number of items purchased will depend on how much I can raise through this personal challenge that will test my mental and physical endurance as a 'middle-aged' runner.
I love running but this won't be an easy task for me. I have not run this far in at least 10 years. However, my competent physio (Andrew Wilcox at BODYSYSTEM Hobart) is confident that my body will hold up as long as I follow his program. Fingers crossed!
This is also a great opportunity to highlight the beautiful Tangara Trail and to show our kids that physical fitness is important, regardless of age.
As the saying goes no pain, no gain! So please make my pain worthwhile by contributing whatever amount you can and by sharing my campaign amongst your social networks. Our kids deserve it :)
