We have the amazing opportunity to travel to Mkholombe, South Africa in April of 2015 with the nonprofit Hope2Africa. Emily went to South Africa last year with her mom Gina. Hope2Africa works with teenagers and young adults in impoverished communities, equipping and empowering them to share the love of Jesus through the arts. Emily was able to pour into the lives of the youth as a discipleship leader and creative writing teacher. She left that trip changed as she saw the impact of these students’ gifts in the communities.
We are thrilled to be taking this journey together and can’t wait to serve the students as husband and wife. This will be our first mission trip as a married couple, and Brent’s first mission trip ever! We will be working with the youth at a week-long camp through teaching and discipleship. The trip dates are April 2-13 and we cannot wait!
We truly believe in the work of Hope2Africa. They seek to empower the students in their programs and believe that God has gifted these young people to reach their community in the name of Jesus. The team is going to encourage, teach and support the youth. We are thrilled to be able to play a small part in continuing the ministry of Hope2Africa.
We would love your support as we prepare over the next several months to travel to South Africa. Most importantly, we would love your prayers for us and the team as we get ready. If you feel led to give, we would also love your financial partnership. The majority of our funds are due by the middle of January.
