Brenda Coffey - Cancer Treatment Expenses
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
My name is Berina and I am the daughter of Brenda Coffey. Many of our friends and family are already aware of my mothers medical condition, but if you are not, here is a brief description. On August 23rd, my mother had an unexpected seizure. She was taken to the ED where she was intubated, then air lifted to Wake Forest Baptist for admission to their neuro ICU. While there, a brain biopsy was performed to determine the origin of the lesions seen on her imaging scans. The result was not the news we were hoping for. She was diagnosed with a glioblastoma, which is classified as a stage 4 aggressive brain tumor. We were told that her life expectancy is 12-16 months with chemo and radiation treatments. She is currently undergoing chemo everyday and radiation M-F at Wake Forest Baptist in Winston. As you can imagine, commuting back and forth daily and paying for treatments is quite costly and adds up quickly.
First and foremost, I am asking you all to please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers, especially my precious mama. Anyone that knows her knows what an incredible, strong, selfless soul she is. I know times are hard, but if you are able to donate, it would be greatly appreciated.
