Brenda Golden

Hi, my name is Christian Golden, and I'm asking for financial relief on behalf of my father who is struggling to put together the finances for my mom's funeral and memorial. My mom, Brenda Golden, passed on to be with our Lord on January 7th 2024. I was there by her bedside with my father and brother. She'd had a successful dual lung transplant in September, but after many ups and downs since then, her body had had enough. My father incurred heavy financial burdens in addition to his incalculable emotional suffering during this time, between all the travel expenses to and from the hospital (which also included many hotel stays nearby), to missed days of work, to so many little things that add up so unexpectedly quickly. On top of all that, we are struggling to help him pull together the finances for funeral arrangements and such. Words can do no justice in representing the kind of faithful man my father has been throughout this time, but I'll do my best.

My father was faithfully by my mom's side as often as he could be, which was nearly every single day, often after working a full shift as a mason, then driving hours to visit my mom, and then returning home to do it all again the next day. He was the very embodiment of love and faithfulness, much to the amazement of nurses, doctors, and anyone else at the hospital who saw him day after day. He'd talk to mom, kiss mom, cut her nails, rub her feet, and more - all while she was mostly unresponsive.

My father will undoubtedly struggle emotionally for a long time to come. If we can alleviate his financial burdens to whatever extent we are able, that would be such a tremendous blessing for which I know very well that he would be extremely thankful.
