Brenda Newman

Hi my name is Sally-Anne, eldest daughter of Brenda. This fundraiser is set up in memory of mum who worked tirelessly for the Chelmsford Voluntary Services, managing 'her' charity shop "Chelmsford for Good". We would like to raise funds to 'give back' to the charity organisation who were so kind as to enable her to do what she loved - organising a shop, chatting to visitors, supporting younger people, selling just about anything in a shop, which gave her purpose and fulfilment. She lived and breathed this voluntary role and passed away still doing what she loved. She would not have had it any other way. Mum's shop was only one of many different ways that the charity support the Chelmsford community and we would like to recognise the amazing job they do by boosting their funds a little.

Mum didn't want a funeral, she wanted people to raise a glass to remember her at a local pub so for anyone who would like to pay their respects, there will be an informal wake at the Orange Tree pub in Chelmsford on Saturday 18th January from 2 to 5pm. First drink is on Brenda! Cheers!
