Brenda Nurre’s Family Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Brenda Nurre, a long-time Greyshirt, veteran, first responder, and Clay Hunt Fellow, has always been there for others - and now, she needs our support.
On Monday, October 7th, Brenda’s family was involved in a devastating car accident. Her daughter, Emberly, was airlifted to a trauma center, while her husband, Steven, and son-in-law, Fenn, were taken to another hospital. Brenda’s husband was on his way to his first TR deployment to assist those impacted by the hurricanes in the Southeast when the accident occurred.
Despite the severity of the crash - Brenda was told no one should have survived - Emberly, Fenn, and Steven all made it through several surgeries during their first week in the hospital, but the journey to recovery is just beginning. They face more surgeries, months of physical therapy, and Steven and Emberly will be in wheelchairs for weeks - potentially through the end of the year.
We're raising money to support Brenda as she stays by her family’s side in the hospital and to cover the costs that insurance won’t. Brenda has given so much to our community, touched many lives, and served thousands of people impacted by disasters; let’s come together to help her in this time of need!
