For Brenda Pasqua - In Memory of Don Enoch

One of our Oak Park family members, Brenda Pasqua, is in need of our help. She was recently diagnosed with stage 2/3 cancer in her right breast. At this point, she is optimistic that the cancer has not spread. As of now, the treatment plan is chemotherapy and then surgery. Due to her position as part-time teacher and athletic trainer, her out of pocket health costs related to the treatment plan will be substantial. We are looking to help ease the financial part of the burden so she can focus on her health.

On the same day Brenda received her news, long time Oak Park English teacher, Don Enoch, passed away from stomach cancer. Don always had a special heart for Brenda as they spent time as classroom neighbors and shared many heart to heart talks. Don was a true proponent of health care for all. Don's wife agreed that it was very clear that helping Brenda during this difficult time is the perfect way to honor Don's memory, and this is exactly what Don would have wanted. Brenda was extremely touched by this thought, and shared that she would consider it an honor if people donated to help her in Don's name. Don Enoch was a true educator and a wonderful man, with a heart for our kids. As he left a lasting impact on many of our lives, let’s continue Don’s impact as we donate to support Brenda in Don’s name.
