Brendan Slocumb needs our help

I’m Ian Hargis, from Germanton, NC. My wife, Teresa Hargis and I, are raising money for my best friend and brother Brendan N. Slocumb because he needs our help. Brendan has been a teacher, friend, and arts activist for over 25 years. The number of students whose lives he has affected and influenced is breathtaking. Brendan is one of the most natural and talented, musicians and teachers that I’ve ever known. He is incredible in his ability not only to perform music, but to teach and inspire as well. If you were ever in one of his ensembles, I know you understand.
Brendan has recently been plaqued with multiple health problems. He is recovering day by day, from what can only be described as a near death situation. It has left him weakened, and limited in his ability to work. Unfortunately, the process for applying and receiving legitimate disability compensation is a long, arduous process. Brendan has found himself at the end of his financial resources, and ability to support himself while he awaits the disability decision. When he told me he was considering selling his violin to pay another months rent, I got involved. This is NOT an option for my best friend and incredible musician. The money raised will help pay for his rent and other needs. My wife Teresa will act as beneficary for Brendan’s funds. She will provide funds for rent check directly to his landlord and cash through an app Brendan can access when needed.
I ask that you help my best friend. If Brendan touched or affected your life, please help. No one wants to ask for this kind of help, but no one is more deserving, and in need. Thank you, and God bless!
