DVSA charity in honor of Brenda

Last week, I received a call from one of my closest friends. His sister had shockingly committed suicide.  

I found myself at a loss for words, having no past life experience from which to learn how to best console him and his family.

This week Brenda's family made an announcement. By virtue of Brenda's devotion to victims of domestic abuse and sexual assault, they want to encourage donations to local agencies that service the victims in lieu of expensive store-bought flower arrangements.

I would like to take this one step further in remembrance of Brenda, reflecting upon the beautiful and caring life she lived.

I acknowledge that I am a stranger to most. Nonetheless, I implore you to act and donate, not only on behalf of the life lost, but to support the lives of those in need.

Please help me to remember this beautiful woman's life and service to others, through more acts of service in her name.
