Brenden's Legal Defense Fund

Hello to all,
On August 7th, 2020, my brother Brenden Eans was wrongfully accused of assaulting a police officer and eluding authorities. He is currently being detained in Chester County detention center in Chester, SC. He is waiting to be transferred to Charlotte, NC (where the initial incident is said to have occurred). According to them, my brother fit description of the assailant. However, my brother is 280+ pounds and the person who committed this crime was slim. This is one fact difference in a sea of differences. My mother as well as countless friends, families and strangers have rallied and blown up both departments, only to get the runaround. We have not been able to see him and barely have been able to speak to him.

Right now, my brother is being charged with 3 felonies for a crime he did not commit. We have not been given clear facts about this case. According to my mother,  his legal fees are around $10,000. This isn't including his bond -- just the attorneys needed for his case. As a down payment, we are being asked to give $3000. Anything will help him. Although we are in need of assistance financially, we are also open to solutions. We could have never planned for this. Our mother raised us to never have to plan for this. We worked hard everyday to ensure we never had to plan for this. This situation is extremely hard on my family but the weight that is on my brother is unreal. My brother is being accused of something that puts him directly in the line of fire of those who forget that all citizens are to be protected and served. Especially when one of their own is the one claiming the crime occurred.

With that being said, we are in immediate need of this assistance. Anything helps.

We truly believe this is an attempt to humiliate and place blame on an innocent black man. He is my brother. He is a son.  He is a grandson, cousin, nephew, uncle, friend. He is a mentor. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

His friends call him Bean. It has stuck with him since we were kids. Bean and Lil Bean. He has always been responsible, law-abiding, and hardworking. Not to mention, there isn't a person on this earth that knows him that feels he is capable of such a crime. Bean is quiet and gentle. He is sweet and will help anyone within his means. He does not have a mean bone in his body. If anything, he is the one who stands up against those who are carry ill intentions.

This crime was unfortunate. I pray the RIGHT man is brought to justice. However, my brother is not that right man. The shoe does not fit. The description is not matching up. The evidence has not been properly laid out.

Please assist in aiding this hardworking, courageous man... my brother. We need him home.
