Brendon Schwartz

Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers that have been shared; we are truly blessed to have such a great support network. Many have asked how they can help Brendon, so we are setting up this GoFundMe for him.

Brendon is a 2023 graduate of Spencerville HS and Apollo Career Center, where he wrestled and studied Electrical Systems. He is an Electrical Apprentice at Challenge Electric in Lima, OH.

On Jan 15th, Brendon passed out for the second time in a week; this time cracking his head. He was taken to Lima Memorial, where the nurses observed an irregular heart beat and transferred him to ICU. His heart paused 4 times in the next 2 days.

Brendon was then transferred to OSU Wexner for tests, including an EP study; which means they went through his groin and checked the electrical part of his heart. They didn't find anything. The MRI did not find any swelling of the heart. They were unable to provide specific answers and sent him home Friday. He is wearing a halter monitor for 30 days. He will likely need an injected loop recorder that he will have for up to 4 years. If he would ever have another episode then it will record what is going on with his heart - and hopefully get him some answers.

In the meantime, he is dealing with the effects of hitting his head, including additional medical appointments. The latest news, he received a steroid shot in his left ear and will likely require a cochlear implant down the road due to hearing loss.

Brendon will be off work for an undetermined amount of time and his medical bills are piling up.
