Brenna Michelle Huffstetler

Friends and Family,
As some of you may already know, my niece, Brenna Huffstetler, passed away early yesterday morning. While the family knew that this time was inevitable given Brenna's health, the reality remains that you are never prepared for the finality that death brings. It hurts just as much, and there is no way to be prepared to lose a niece, a child, or any family member.

My sister, Renee, has been by Brenna's side for this entire journey, which began in November of last year. Renee gave up her job to be able to be with Brenna, on a daily basis, to have a hand in her care at a local facility. To have as much time with her daughter that she could; I guess you could say Brenna defied the odds, and I smile as I say this, because Brenna would love that statement. Her prognosis was not good when she left UT and came to a local care facility. However, she actually got a little better, a little brighter, giving her mom even more time, more days than anyone could have expected. Even her doctors. While her prognosis stayed the same, her strong will and spirit came back, somewhat. Good memories were made during the last few months. I thank God for this. Some situations can only be explained by giving the glory to Him. I believe it has made my sister one of the strongest women I know. I am truly astounded by her will, her strength. I stand in awe of her, not knowing if I could withstand this same situation with one of my own children.

I'd like thank those of you who have reached out, even just in prayer. It makes a difference.
I'm creating this donation page to help get my sister Renee back on track, financially. Renee is doing her best to stay above water but any and all funds she had saved are gone. Renee has secured employment again but had only worked one day at the time of Bren's passing. Her employer is holding her spot, but she needs assistance now.

I appreciate ALL of you. If you would please keep Renee and our family in your prayers, well, that may be the best gift of all...

Thanks, in advance. God Bless.
