Brent Bradley Medical/Expense Fund

In June of 2015, Brent discovered that he had a clot in his right bicep. He was referred to a Hematologist and put on blood thinners. A couple of months later, in August of 2015, Brent had to be hospitalized for two weeks, as clots were found in his lungs. He went through many rounds of blood draws, tests, scans, etc, and was referred to a Cardiologist and Pulmonologist. More testing was completed and it was determined that Brent's heart was healthy and his Cardiologist was able to clear him.
In March of 2016, Brent was diagnosed by his Pulmonologist with Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension (CTEPH). The Doctor indicated that he wanted Brent to receive his treatment at UC San Diego. Brent and his parents did some research and learned that UC San Diego is by far the best place for Brent to receive his treatment.
In November of 2016, his paperwork arrived at UC San Diego and a couple of months later, UCSD approved his surgery. The surgery is called PTE. Unfortunately, Brent's insurance has been back and forth regarding their approval, which has delayed the scheduling of surgery.
Once insurance approves the surgery, Brent will go through 3 days of testing in San Diego, undergo an 8-10 hour surgery, spend approximately 10 days in the ICU, and 2 weeks in a local hotel. Once UCSD releases him, he will spend the rest of the time recovering at home.
Due to this condition, Brent's current ability to work is limted and it is anticipated that he will be off of work approximatley 4 months after the surgery.
Although Brent and his family have been private regarding Brent's conditions and struggles, they have given us their blessing to start a Go Fund Me page. They are hopeful that insurance will cover the surgery; however, Brent will need assistance with medical expenses that are not covered, as well as daily living expenses while he is unable to work.
Brent is a wonderful father to his beautiful four year old daughter, and she would like nothing more than to have her dad healthy again.
Brent truly appreciates your donations, thoughts, and prayers. He does not like to ask anyone for anything, but this situation is out of his control and he will do anything to put him and his daughter in the best situaton possible.
Brent is living in Las Vegas, and misses all of his friends he hasn't seen in a long time. He is looking forward to your inspiration.
