Brent Butler's medical and recovery expenses

Hi! This is Tommy Rodgers, and I'm raising money to help Brent Butler and his family with his medical expenses following his sudden and tragic accident Friday, October 13. Brent was riding his bicycle when he was struck by a car, causing serious injuries and hospitalization. Brent has undergone surgery and has a long road ahead of him to recovery.

Brent is a fixture of Greensboro cycling; an exceptionally strong rider and a respected member of our community. His enthusiasm for cycling - found after spending a long time as a runner - has brought tremendous energy and fun to our local group rides. Please help us support Brent and his family as his medical treatment continues, and pray for his complete recovery.

Update from Brent's family this evening (10/14):

Just got an update that Brent has been stabilized. They are keeping him heavily sedated (asleep) for up to a couple of weeks and then hope to start weaning him off. He has multiple broken bones across his body, heavy trauma to face and head, collapsed lung and broken ribs.
