Help us launch the Brenton D. Earl II Foundation

First of all, thank you to everyone who has reached out to myself, Tianna, and our families these past few weeks. Every prayer, thought, text, and call is appreciated. I am saddened to share the news of my 11-year-old son, Brenton II's unexpected passing on October 17th.

One can never prepare mentally, emotionally, or financially for something like this. Many of you have been asking how you can help myself and our family during this time, so we thought it would be best to provide a space for you to do that if you feel so moved.

All funds raised will be put toward covering funeral costs, medical expenses, and the launch of the Brenton D. Earl II Foundation.

Brenton D. Earl II Foundation Initiatives:
  • "Breathe Easy" health and wellness education: will provide young athletes with asthma and their families the tools they need to be prepared in case of asthma related emergencies.
  • School of Entrepreneurship: will provide young entrepreneurs unique experiential learning opportunities.

Gone from this earth but never forgotten.. we will forever eat blueberry waffles in your honor, order hamburgers (yes, no cheese) from Steak 'n Shake with extra pickles, and remember to always greet others with a smile as big as yours. I thank God for the opportunity to raise such a unique young man and will forever cherish and remember the 11 years we had together.

With love,
Brenton Earl I, Dad

Thank you in advance for supporting us during this difficult time and for believing in the Life and Legacy of Brenton D. Earl II. Follow @brentonsmemorialfoundation on Instagram and Facebook for updates on programs and events.

Brenton D. Earl II
February 11, 2013 — October 17, 2024
Moline, Illinois

Brenton DeMar Earl II, 11, of Moline, Illinois, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois, as a result of an acute asthma attack while doing the thing he enjoyed most, playing basketball with dad.

Visitation is 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 1, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Services will take place at the same location at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 2. Repass will be immediately following. Memorials may be made to the Brenton D. Earl II Foundation.

Brenton D. Earl II was born February 11, 2013, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Brenton D. Earl I and Tianna L. Everett. He gave his life to Christ in October of 2022 and was a member of New Jerusalem Full Gospel Church in Muscatine, IA. He excelled as a homeschool student and his favorite subjects were math and coding. Brenton was the proud CEO of DeucesWild22 Coffee Shop located in Moline, Illinois, where he enjoyed working the drive-thru window, taking customer orders, accepting payments, and counting back change. Brenton also spent time working with his dad at their Christian bookstore and loved helping customers to find bibles and gifts. During the warm months, you could find Brenton and his mom outside playing catch, exploring the woods, and walking the trails.

Brenton was competitive and enjoyed sports of all kinds, but his earliest athletic endeavors centered around basketball. He dreamed of playing in the NBA and was known on the court for his mid-range jumpshot and right and left-hand layups. From the time he was tall enough to reach the pool table, he enjoyed hanging out and playing pool with his Paw Paw Trell. Brenton loved bowling, playing chess, and spending time with his cousins and nephew, building worlds in Minecraft, and playing Super Smash Bros. and Roblox.

He will always be remembered by family, friends, and customers, for his bright smile and joyful giggle that filled each room he walked into.

He is survived by his father, Brenton D. Earl I; his mother, Tianna L. Everett; his sisters, Kiah Earl (Kash) of St. Louis, Missouri, and Zaiya, Zione and Braxton Earl, all of East Moline; his grandparents, Trell and Melva Everett of Davenport; his uncles, Acie (Tiffany, Kendra, Kenya, Keonna, Kacie, Kareem) of Iowa City, Chad (Tabia, Chace, Winston) of Naperville, Illinois and Dorian Earl (Agustina, Vince, Julian) of Montgomery, Illinois, Trell Jr. (TJ); aunties, Tyesha and Tasia Everett of Davenport; and great-grandparents, Mildred and Willie Everett of Davenport.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carolyn and Acie B. Earl, Sr.; great-grandparents, Ruby Lee and Glennie Earl of Hammond, Indiana; and Edna and Nate Ezra McDonald of Davenport.
