Medical Leave for Brett's Cancer Treatment

Brett was diagnosed with ALK + TCell Lymphoma on Monday May 6th. It is a curable, but rare form of non-hodgkins. Treatment will begin on Monday May 13. He will have chemotherapy once every three weeks for 6 rounds total. They expect that he will need  4-5 months of chemotherapy and treatment. 

The rehabilitation hospital where Brett works as a PT is unable to provide paid medical leave. Meredith owns her own private practice as a Marriage and Family therapist, and so she will also go without pay during the time that she will be taking care of Brett.

In short, in addition to doctors bills and medical expenses that will be necessary for testing and treatment, the Fielders will not have a steady income for the next 4-5 months. 

The financial need is immediate, as the chemotherapy begins next Monday, meaning that Brett and Meredith will not be able to work consistently starting next week.
